This workshop is intended to give an overview of the investigation method used in neuropsychology. We will look at the objectives of a neuropsychological evaluation, the choice of measures (questionnaires, psychometric tests) as well as its limits with regards to the specificity of the population (children and adolescents). We will also present neuropsychological profiles and how can they help identify the presence of learning disabilities or of other neurodevelopmental disorders. A few cases studies will be presented.
Best suited for: Open to all, but best suited for: psychologists and education specialists (teachers, resource) who want to gain knowledge about the basis of neuropsychology and better understand neuropsychological evaluation reports.
Pre-requisites: familiarity with a few psychometric tests, in particular the WISC-IV; basic knowledge of learning disabilities.

The objective of this workshop is to assist psychologists in the interpretation of intellectual profiles obtained from the WISC-IV to detect the possibility of learning or developmental disorders. We will look at the types of information that can be obtained from the various subtests. Specific profiles will be presented and discussed.

Pre-requisites: familarity with the WISC-IV. Participants may bring a sample booklet of the WISC-IV.
This workshop is intended to help professionals with the interpretation of results obtained by children and adolescents on the NEPSY-II. This test battery is increasingly being used, as a complement to the WISC-IV, to gain a better understanding of learning and behavioural difficulties that some children can present Learning profiles will be presented and discussed with the group.
Best suited for: Psychologists.

This half-day workshop is intended to help professionals with the interpretation of results obtained by children and adolescents on the TEA-Ch (6-16 years old). Learning profiles will be presented and case studies will also be discussed and interpreted. Participants may bring their own case studies for discussion.
Best suited for: Psychologists
Pre-requisites: basic knowledge of attention and executive functions, familiarity with the TEA-Ch (having administered it a few times).

Various forms of dyspraxia will be presented and discussed with an emphasis on developmental dyspraxia, its possible etiologies as well as its impact on daily life (in school, on learning and socialization).

There is a 60$ administration fee. This amount will be kept in case of cancellation by the participant. This amount will however be deducted from the invoice after the last workshop
